Beechcraft Musketeer

The Musketeer, my flight trainer, is a low wing trainer/ general use aircraft. I fly in the B 19 model which has 150 HP, fixed gear, and a Lycoming 0-320 powerplant (engine). The B 19 Musketeer was (as far as I know) rated for limited aerobatics when equipped with a quick release door and a parachute. The Musketeer B23 model was used by the Canadian Air Force for flight training. I would recomend the Musketeer for anyone looking to buy a light trainer.

Messerschmitt 262 Schwalbe

The 262 was the world's first operational jet fighter to enter combat. Conceived in 1939 the original plans mirror the actual jet fighter first flown on July 18, 1942. The 262's Junkers Jumo 004 jet engine was not very reliable. If Germany had had an opportunity to design a more dependable engine the Me 262 would have possible saved the Germans from the Allies bombers. The Allied troop's advance stopped any hope on the development of a new engine.

Me 262 specs.

Top speed 541 mph

Armament 4 x 30mm cannons

Powerplant 2 x Junkers Jumo 004 jet engines

I in no way support the Nazis, I just find studying unusual aircraft interesting.

Deadline

I just finished reading Deadline by Randy Alcorn. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fresh perspective on a Christian worldview. Alcorn masterfully brings together a criminal investigation, on man's search for truth, the whole abortion issue, salvation in Christ in this griping book.

Flying

I fly a Beechcraft Musketeer, during my flight lessons, from Reese Field located southeast of Muncie, Indiana. Right now, I am in the presolo stage of my lessons and hope to solo on my 16th birthday in January. Crosswind landings are a sticking point for me. I either "land up in the air" when I have a nice sideslip going, or I land sideways (which my instructor LOVES!) and nearly go off the 50ft wide runway. S-turns and stalls are easy and wind correction is a breeze. I love talking on the radio because I am already a Ham radio operator. I currently have a Tech license and am working on Morse code so that I can get my General license.

Thank you for visiting my blog. On my blog I will try to convey my love for Jesus and my passion for flying. If the fact that I am a Bible believing Christian offends you maybe you should find another blog to read. I believe that any one who "confesses with their mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, he shall be saved" Romans 10:9.
I also believe in a instantaneous creation of the universe by Jesus Christ. I believe in heaven for those that accept Jesus, and hell a horrific place fot those that reject Jesus, God's Son. There is no middle ground, either you go the heaven or you go to hell. I also believe in a loving God willing that none should perish.
